GOMO-GOMO Bush lodge on the Peru property offers you game viewing in peace and exclusivity in one of the worlds few remaining extensive tracts of unspoiled wilderness - the world’s famous Timbavati Game Reserve.

The Timbavati Game Reserve borders onto Kruger National Park and our total traversing area comprises 12 000ha. Strict conservation policies and successful wildlife management have resulted in us being able to boast a wide variety of wildlife.

These include the endangered wild dogs, rhino and African elephant, leopard, lion and large numbers of giraffe, zebra, buffalo, antelope and a diversity of birdlife.

Accommodation:

The camp is built on the banks of the Nhlaralumi River.

Your private Safari allows access to more than 12000 hectares of the finest game country with leopard, lion, elephant, buffalo and Rhino thriving alongside giraffe, zebra, waterbuck and a variety of antelope. (Cheetah and wild dog are also spotted regularly).

The camp comprises five fully furnished thatched chalets, with en suite facilities each. n the shade of huge Jackalberry and weeping Boerbean trees, guests can enjoy the tranquility of the bush, watching birds and animals drinking water. Gomo Gomo & Peru can accommodate 10 to 16 guests.

All rooms have twin beds and the " Honeymoon" suite has a queen size bed and 2 singles. Lamps provide lighting. An open thatched lapa provides a cool lounge area with comfortable chairs, table and a view of the river. The boma is totally open and long hours may be spent by campfire while you listen to the sounds of the bush. Dinner is also served in a boma under an African starlit sky...

CLOTHING AND ACCESSORIES:

Dress code is bushveld casual and light weight, but a sweater may be required During the winter, June, July and August warm clothes are necessary during early morning and at night. A hat, sunscreen, flashlight and binoculars will add pleasure to your stay.

HEALTH: Precaution against malaria is necessary.

CLIMATE:

Winter: May to September are mild to pleasant during day time. However, nights can be cold, warm clothing is recommended.
Summer: October to April - is hot to very hot with occasional rainfall. Protection from the sun is necessary.
 

Game Viewing / Activities:

An unspoiled and vibrant destination, where visitors can enjoy the thrill of close encounters with the Big Five from open 4x4 vehicles during the early morning game drive. For the more energetic there are walking safaris, accompanied by an experienced ranger.

On the late evening drive you will have a sundowner, while listening to the awakening of the nocturnal life. After dark the search continues, with the aid of powerful spotlights, revealing the secretive nightlife. 

Our lodge provides one of the best and most comfortable experiences that will live up to the Africa of your imagination. Your personal guide - an experienced, armed ranger - aided by a local dedicated Shangaan tracker are keen to show you their world.

They will intrigue you with fascinating facts and legends about the fauna and flora.
